Multi-level downtown queer bar with Saturday rooftop drag
Coconut Club is a multi-level queer bar on Colorado Street in downtown Austin, a few steps from the rainbow crosswalks at 4th and Colorado, in the small cluster of queer bars that make up the Warehouse District scene. The Infatuation calls it a tropical dance temple, with regular DJ sets and weekend drag on the rooftop overlooking the downtown high-rises. The signature is Coco Cxnts, a free drag brunch on the rooftop on Saturday afternoons; the Austin Chronicle has called Coco Cxnts a Best of Austin-winning drag brunch. Traphouse Caribbean serves food downstairs. It works as the last stop of a night out or the start of a long Saturday afternoon.
