Part of the Gay Austin Guide — bars, events & things to do.

Austin, Texas
Multi-level Warehouse District gay dance club.
Highland Lounge is Austin's largest gay nightclub, a multi-level Warehouse District space on Colorado Street built around the neighborhood's biggest dance floor and an Ibiza-style lighting and sound rig. Open since 2014, it's the city's main full-scale gay club, with multiple bars, go-go dancers, and an outdoor patio to step out to between sets. The weekly draw is a mix of Friday-night drag and a Sunday afternoon tea dance, with DJ-driven dance nights filling the room in between. It's 21+, and it skews high-energy and crowd-forward rather than low-key. A longtime community sponsor of Austin Pride, it's the spot when you want an actual nightclub night downtown rather than a lounge or a dive.
