Perched on Capitol Hill near the Madison and 14th Ave corridor, it draws a crowd of bears, cubs, bikers, and the people who love them — all held together by a blue-collar, no-fuss atmosphere that's rare in a city where nightlife can skew toward the overly polished. The drinks are generous, the bar food is legitimately good, and the lack of pretension in the air is practically a selling point. The event programming has made Diesel a neighborhood institution in its own right. Taco Tuesdays have become something of a weekly ritual, leather nights draw a devoted crowd, and watch parties for shows like RuPaul's Drag Race give regulars a reason to show up mid-week.
