Seattle, Washington
Capitol Hill leather-and-bear complex with four bars and a dance floor.
The Cuff Complex has operated as a cornerstone of Seattle's leather, bear, and kink communities since opening on 13th and Pine in 1993. Founded with the explicit mission of creating a social outlet for those into leather, Levi's, and uniforms, it has grown over the decades into a sprawling multi-bar complex spanning 7,000 square feet, with four bars, a full dance floor, pool tables, darts, and one of the most beloved outdoor patios on Capitol Hill. The home bar for Seattle Men in Leather, Northwest Bears, and the Border Riders MC, it functions as what the owners have long called a "community living room" — a place where you go to see your people on any given night of the week. The programming swings from high-energy Friday and Saturday DJ nights featuring international and nationally recognized talent, to themed events like the annual Beach Party, Furnace, and a Halloween blowout that draws thousands. The annual Pride Day street party on 13th Avenue is one of the largest and most anticipated events of Seattle's Pride season. The Cuff has been under new ownership since 2025, with the new steward publicly committed to preserving the bar's identity while bringing fresh programming into the calendar. Whatever changes come, the bones — and the community that fills them — remain unmistakably the Cuff.
