Cabaret-style show bar in Centro named after the Muxe — the Zapotec third gender tradition from Oaxaca that predates Spanish colonization. El Secreto de la Muxe is a nightly drag and entertainment venue: doors open around 9 PM, shows start at 11 PM, and the lineup features lip-sync tributes to Mexican pop icons like Lola Beltrán and Thalía, plus stand-up comedy. No cover charge. The wings are worth ordering. Sitting about a kilometer north of the Zona Romántica's concentrated gay strip, this is a Spanish-language cabaret where the crowd and the performers skew more local than tourist. The comedy lands if you follow Mexican pop culture, and the atmosphere is interactive and warm rather than dark or clubby.
