Part of the Gay Fort Lauderdale Guide — bars, events & things to do.

Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Queer artist-run gallery with rotating exhibits and Saturday openings.
Fierce Art Gallery Studio is an artist-run contemporary gallery on North Dixie Highway in Wilton Manors, built around resident artist Sherman Yee and a rotating roster of emerging, mostly queer artists. The work runs uncensored and pointedly contemporary — paintings, mixed media, and performance pieces that lean into subjects more cautious galleries skip. The space comes alive on its 1st and 3rd Saturday opening receptions (6–9pm), free events where you can meet the artists over the current show, plus weekly pop-up corners and the occasional workshop or book signing. This is a small, community-rooted gallery rather than a white-cube institution, and that's the appeal: in a neighborhood known mostly for its bars, it's one of the few places to spend an evening on art and conversation instead. The studio also rents out for pop-up shows and private events.
