Friends on Ponce is a no-frills neighborhood gay bar on Ponce de Leon Avenue that's anchored the local scene for more than 16 years. It's low-key and unpretentious by design, with pool tables, darts, pinball, video poker, and KENO inside, plus a covered front patio made for people-watching along the Ponce corridor. There's never a cover, the service is quick, and the drinks stay affordable, which is exactly why regulars keep it in rotation: to catch a game, shoot pool, or play a round of poker without any pretense. Just down from the Atlanta Eagle, it's a reliable staple of the city's queer nightlife and an easy first or last stop on a Ponce-area night.
