Part of the Gay Puerto Vallarta Guide — bars, events & things to do.

Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco
Largest fine art gallery in PV with wine bar, since 1988.
Galleria Dante is the largest fine art gallery in Puerto Vallarta — 6,000 square feet across three floors, eight rooms, two sculpture gardens, and a courtyard inside a restored colonial hacienda on Basilio Badillo in Zona Romántica. Founded in 1988 by Canadian-American couple Claire and Joe Guarniere, the gallery represents 50-plus artists, roughly 85% Mexican, working in painting and sculpture. The attached Di Vino Dante wine bar on the second floor overlooks the courtyard. Galleria Dante is a regular stop on the Wednesday night South Side Shuffle art walk and is listed in GayPV and Out and About PV's LGBTQ+ directories. Now run by Claire and daughter Gena following Joe's passing in 2020.
