Heile Welt, roughly "a world made whole," has held its corner of Motzstraße in Schöneberg's Nollendorfkiez since around the turn of the millennium. It's a retro lounge built for conversation: plush walls, music at talking volume, strong cocktails, and a front room that works as the social hub of the block. The back lounge is softer, with sofas, armchairs, and the occasional live piano, and the crowd is genuinely mixed, gay men and women, locals kicking off the evening or landing for a last drink after dinner or the theater. Programming like Schlager happy hours and Drag Race viewing nights rotates through the week. It's less a destination than a Schöneberg institution: the dependable, easy first or last stop on a Motzstraße night, and it tends to fill up by the weekend.
