Berlin, Germany
Low-key Schöneberg gay bar with a beer garden and regular karaoke
K6 is a neighborhood gay bar on Kleiststraße in Schöneberg, around the corner from the Nollendorfplatz scene and a short walk from the KaDeWe department store. It splits between a sidewalk beer garden, a central bar, and a small dance floor at the back, with a soundtrack heavy on German pop and Schlager plus regular karaoke and themed parties. It draws a mostly local, German-speaking crowd and trades the fetish-bar intensity of some Schöneberg neighbors for something more easygoing: happy hour, a kitchen turning out traditional German plates, and a beer garden that does a lot of the work in warm months. It opens in the early afternoon, so it works as a daytime drink as readily as a night out.
