Lab.oratory is a men-only fetish and cruise club in the basement of Berghain, on Am Wriezener Bahnhof in Friedrichshain, with its own entrance separate from the dance club upstairs. Set in the raw concrete of a former East German power station, it's fitted out for play, with slings, cages, glory holes, dark rooms, and private cabins, and carries a global reputation as one of the most uncompromising clubs of its kind. Most nights run to a specific theme and dress code, from naked and sportswear parties to fisting and watersports nights, and the rules at the door are enforced. Payment is cash only. This is a destination for committed fetish travelers rather than a casual stop; read the night's dress code before you turn up, because the door is part of the experience.
