Queer-owned romance bookshop with a big LGBTQ+ section.
Queer-owned romance bookshop opened in 2022 by Becca Title, a former lawyer turned novelist. Meet Cute stocks the full romance spectrum — contemporary, historical, paranormal, dark, YA — with dedicated sections for LGBTQ+ and underrepresented authors. The shop also carries stickers, bookmarks, candles, and the occasional "blind date with a book." Originally in North Park, the shop moved to a larger space on La Mesa Blvd in late 2024. Events run regularly: author signings, book clubs, and speed-dating nights that center LGBTQ+ folks. Title published her own queer romcom in 2025, and the shop's feminist, queer-owned identity runs through everything from the curation to the community programming.
