Queer-owned erotic boutique on Wickenden St, open since 2008
Queer-owned erotic boutique on Wickenden Street in Fox Point, open since 2008. Founded by Devioune Mayim-Daviau, who previously ran adult shops in Provincetown, the store carries toys, books, fetish wear, lubricants, and handcrafted leather harnesses — sourced primarily from queer-owned and women-owned manufacturers. Mister Sister was built as a space that's "not gay friendly, just gay," in the founder's words. Staff focus on education and comfort over sales, and the shop has earned AVN and Talk of the Town awards alongside years of Pride sponsorship and AIDS/HIV fundraising. Since 2020, they've kept free menstrual products stocked on the stoop around the clock — a detail that captures the shop's community-first ethos.
