Lager-forward brewery and outdoor beer garden on Providence's West Side
Moniker is a production brewery and outdoor beer garden on Providence's West Side, built in a converted auto body shop and opened in 2021. The brewery leads with lagers — German pilsners, Czech-style pilsners, and Mexican lagers — alongside IPAs like Gravities Rainbow and rotating small-batch releases. Food trucks rotate in, and garage doors open to a patio with communal tables and propane heaters. The brewery has become a significant queer gathering space. Queers and Beers of Rhode Island meets every Monday evening on the back patio, drawing 60-plus people weekly since January 2022. Queeraoke PVD runs twice-monthly Thursday karaoke nights. Co-founders Bryan Benedict and Jeff Goodno started brewing in 2019 and have since expanded to a second location, Moniker North in Cumberland.
