Owned by Rae Lang and her wife Kelly (the same duo behind Woosah), Outside serves locally roasted coffee, vegan ice cream, pastries, and toast year-round. The vibe is exactly what you'd hope: relaxed, community-minded, and welcoming — humans welcome, dogs encouraged. It's beloved by locals heading to Douglas Beach or starting a morning bike ride, and it perfectly captures Saugatuck/Douglas's laid-back, inclusive spirit. A few miles from Oval Beach, it's an ideal first stop before a day on the water.
