Saugatuck, Michigan
Intimate Douglas wine bar with rotating world wines and seasonal plates
A wine bar and small plates gem on Center Street in Douglas that's become one of the most beloved dining experiences in the Saugatuck area. Opened in 2016, Borrowed Time focuses on rotating wines from around the world, Michigan craft beers, small-batch spirits, and inventive seasonal plates designed for sharing — think mushroom gnocchi, miso farro-risotto, and beautifully composed salads with roasted golden beets and dried figs. The homemade desserts are not to be missed. The atmosphere is intimate and warm, with a cozy indoor space on two levels and a backyard patio with lawn games that feels like hanging out at a friend's house. They also offer a curated Loft dining experience by reservation in the fall and winter months. Reservations (via Tock) are strongly recommended — max party of 8 due to their small kitchen. Closed Mondays.
