Saugatuck, Michigan
Mediterranean and pizza kitchen in downtown Douglas since 2007.
A downtown Douglas fixture since 2007, now in its third decade and refreshed under new ownership with a Mediterranean-inspired menu. The Wild Dog occupies a charming space with exposed brick, eclectic decor, and a dog-friendly side patio that's gorgeous in summer. The kitchen turns out a wide-ranging menu — stone oven pizzas, gyro platters, steak tartare, duck confit, meatballs, wasabi salmon, fish tacos, and even tofu curry for the plant-based crowd. The cocktail program has stepped up significantly under the new team, and the wine list features thoughtful selections including Sonoma Valley Pinot Noir. It's the kind of place where the chef comes out to say hello and the staff treats you like a regular. Open for dinner Tuesday through Saturday.
