Part of the Gay Puerto Vallarta Guide — bars, events & things to do.

Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco
Cowboy-themed gay bar with nightly drag shows, rooted in PV since 1989.
Paco's Ranch traces its lineage to Club Paco Paco, opened in 1989 by Paco Ruiz, one of the founding figures of Puerto Vallarta's gay nightlife — which makes this the oldest gay nightclub in the city. It sits in the Zona Romántica, runs a cowboy theme, and mixes pop with country on the floor. The signature draw is the drag: two shows a night, one at midnight and a later one at 3 a.m., pulling big mixed crowds of locals and tourists. After more than 35 years it has stayed an institution without turning into a tourist trap, still one of the more affordable and least pretentious gay nightspots in town. Best late, when the floor fills for the midnight show.
