Berlin, Germany
Tiny Kreuzberg gay bar with karaoke competitions and drag shows since 2005
Small gay bar on Mehringdamm in Kreuzberg, running since 2005, built around a little stage that does a lot of work. Karaoke is the signature: the RSDS competition (Rauschgold sucht das Supersternchen) is the long-running format, and the bar leans on drag hosts, chanson nights, and DJ sets heavy on '70s and '80s pop and Schlager. It's the kind of room where the personalities are bigger than the floor plan. The space is tiny and packs out fast; drinks are cheap and the cocktails are better than they need to be. The crowd skews Kreuzberg regulars with a steady mix of visitors, and it stays straight-friendly without losing the plot. It opens nightly around 8 PM and works as either the warm-up or the whole night, depending on how the karaoke list is going.
