Part of the Gay Berlin Guide — bars, events & things to do.

Berlin, Germany
Neukölln's pioneering queer café-bar, FLINTA-focused with community events since 2007.
Silverfuture has held down Weserstraße since 2007, among the first queer bars to open in Neukölln — well before the neighborhood became a nightlife destination. It works as a café by day and a social bar by evening, with a sign at the door that reads "leave your heteronormativity at the door or leave yourself." The location near Hermannplatz was a deliberate choice, so regulars wouldn't have to walk dark streets to get home. The programming skews FLINTA: queer karaoke, a weekly Stammtisch (community drop-in), monthly FLINTA flirt nights, drag roulette, and reading nights where people share entries from their teenage diaries. Rotating shows from queer photographers line the walls. It's particularly beloved by queer women but pulls a genuinely international crowd — newcomers to Berlin tend to find their footing here. Drinks are cheap and the politics are worn openly, not as decoration.
