Boise, Idaho
Boise's only queer nightclub, with a rooftop balcony and drag events
Boise's only dedicated queer nightclub, on the second floor of the downtown Capitol Terrace building with a large outdoor balcony overlooking 8th Street, the namesake and the best people-watching perch downtown. Inside is a proper dance floor with full lighting and video, and the room is the engine of Boise's drag scene. Programming leans hard into local talent: the monthly "Mic Drop" open stage, the annual "Boise's Next Drag Superstar" competition, "Second Sunday" drag brunches, and King and Queen drag shows alongside the odd burlesque, comedy, or aerial night, with "queer-oke" on Thursday and Sunday. It's been a fixture of downtown nightlife for years and remains the gathering point for Boise's LGBTQ community; if you're in town and want the scene, this is the address. Worth the climb to the balcony for the view alone.
