The Top is the rooftop bar and restaurant crowning Almar Resort, Puerto Vallarta's only dedicated LGBTQ+ resort, set high above the Zona Romántica with panoramic Banderas Bay views that make it one of the city's prime sunset perches. It's an adults-only space serving handcrafted cocktails and a contemporary Mexican-and-American menu from breakfast through dinner, and the open-air setting over Los Muertos Beach is the draw at any hour. Programming leans into drag and live DJs on a rotating weekly schedule, but the signature event is the Sunday Drag Brunch, a seated brunch with a main show around 11:30am, bottomless mimosas, and access to Mantamar Beach Club downstairs, hosted by a rotating cast of resident queens with guest performers passing through. The crowd is largely international gay travelers and expats. For visitors, it's the polished, upscale end of the PV rooftop scene, and a near-mandatory stop for the sunset and the brunch.
