Tiny Dalston basement for queer arts, drag and late club nights since 2007.
VFD, still called Vogue Fabrics by plenty of people, is a small DIY basement on Stoke Newington Road in Dalston that describes itself as an originator and incubator of queer arts in the area, running since 2007. The programme covers drag, cabaret, spoken word, life drawing and late club nights, and it runs the Outsiders Gallery in its street window. It only opens when an event is on, so check the calendar or Instagram first. The room is down a 12-step staircase and is not wheelchair accessible; inside there are two gender-neutral toilets. The Divine is a short walk along the same road.
