Clewiston, Florida
LGBTQ+ members' resort and campground on 269 wild acres south of Lake Okeechobee, open all year
Vitambi Springs calls itself an LGBTQ+ private-membership resort, and its FAQ calls it primarily an all-male private membership resort for adults over 21, on 269 acres of wild Florida south of Lake Okeechobee, about 90 miles west of Fort Lauderdale by its own directions. The founders bought the land in December 2010 and opened to guests a year later. The majority of the park is clothing optional; the main road and public buildings never are, and clothing is required in and around the Big Oak Lodge. Membership is $30 a year. The range of places to sleep is wide: homes, cottages, the eight-room Pine Tree Inn, deluxe cabins and cabins, barracks beds, primitive and electric tent sites and the 38 full-hookup sites of the Palm Forest RV park. 2026 starting rates before tax are $125 for a home, $90 for a cottage, $80 for an inn room or deluxe cabin, $60 for a cabin, $25 for a barracks bed, $20 to $30 for a tent site and $55 to $65 for an RV site. Day passes are $20 for members, from 9 AM to sunset, generally Friday through Sunday. The pool is heated on weekends in the cooler months, and the grounds have the Myst Room, nature trails, massage by appointment, the Bongo Bar and the Bolo Cafe. Vitambi runs a dense calendar of themed weekends in the cooler months, including Burning Bear, Bears in the Buff, an anniversary weekend in December and Illumination over Christmas. Up to two leashed pets per reservation; none in the inn, barracks or public buildings.

The complete LGBTQ+ guide to Fort Lauderdale and Wilton Manors — America's gayborhood by the sea with 30+ venues on Wilton Drive, Sebastian Beach, and year-round events.

We verified 32 LGBTQ+ campgrounds in the US, from 700-acre men's retreats in the Ozarks to a women-only resort in Michigan's Thumb. This guide covers every one we could verify from the campground's own website: who's welcome, what clothing optional means there, what you can sleep in, what it costs and when the season runs.

Fort Lauderdale has ten gay resorts and guesthouses, most of them men-only and clothing-optional, split between the beach side and Wilton Manors. Here is each one, what its own site says about pools, policies and rates, which ones sell day passes, and the all-welcome beach hotels to pick if you want the ocean instead of a walled garden.

The dated calendar of gay and lesbian cruises for 2027, plus what's still sailing in 2026 — Atlantis, VACAYA, Olivia, Big Gay Cruise, Brand g, BearCruise and more, checked against the operators' own sites.

Your guide to the best gay beaches in Florida — the top LGBTQ+ sands from Miami to Key West, what to expect at each, and where to stay nearby.

Wilton Manors is greater Fort Lauderdale's gay city — a walkable island where Wilton Drive packs 15+ bars, clubs, and cabarets end to end, plus drag brunch, guesthouses, and one of the country's densest LGBTQ+ communities. Here's the local's guide.
