Part of the Gay London Guide — bars, events & things to do.

London, London
Camden queer bar with drag shows, karaoke, and DJ nights.
Zodiac is a trans-founded, community-run LGBTQ+ bar on Hampstead Road in Camden — one of very few trans-led venues in north London, and the first dedicated LGBTQ+ space to open in the borough in years when it took a permanent home. It grew out of a pop-up series started by trans entrepreneur Jade Phoenix in 2020 and is run today alongside Dee Chanelle. The programming is deliberately broad and inclusive: drag shows and drag bingo, karaoke, live DJs, trans nights and disability-aware events, with a stated focus on being a genuine safe space rather than a straight-crossover party bar. The room reopened in May 2026 after a full refurbishment, and the team has been campaigning to have the site protected as an Asset of Community Value. A little off the main scene maps — this is Camden, not Soho or Vauxhall — it rewards anyone who wants a smaller, mission-driven local over a big commercial club.
