Atlanta, Georgia
24-hour gay bathhouse in Midtown with a pool, sauna, and gym.
Flex Spas is a 24/7 gay bathhouse in the middle of Midtown's gay district, a few blocks from Piedmont Park and the 10th Street bar cluster. The building has been a men's bathhouse for more than 40 years, operating under names like Club South Baths, Club Atlanta Baths, and Flex Baths before the current Flex Spas, and it has outlasted the 1970s vice crackdowns, the worst of the AIDS years, and waves of gentrification that closed similar spaces in other cities. Inside there's an outdoor pool, hot tub, steam room, dry sauna, a full gym, and on-site massage, with room options from standard lockers up to private and themed suites. Reviewers tend to single out the cleanliness, and the facility has seen recent renovations. The crowd skews Black, and holiday weekends like MLK and Labor Day are the busiest stretches of the year.
