Every Halloween, Wilton Drive shuts down and turns into one giant open-air costume party. Wicked Manors is the Pride Center's giant Halloween street festival — tens of thousands of people in head-to-toe looks packing the heart of Wilton Manors, one of the gayest cities per capita in America. Think runway-caliber costumes, performers on two stages, and the bars on the Drive throwing their own parties around it.
If you take Halloween seriously — and in Wilton Manors, people take it very seriously — this is the one to plan a trip around.

For most of the year, Wilton Drive is a walkable strip of gay bars, restaurants, and shops — the main artery of Wilton Manors. On Halloween, the city barricades the street, a main stage goes up, and the whole Drive becomes a pedestrian-only party from NE 21st Court down to Dixie Highway.
You'll find two stages near Five Points — the Main Stage and the North Stage — with DJs, hosts, and live performers, street bars, and a costume crowd that treats the Drive like a runway. The bars along the route — Georgie's Alibi, Hunters, The Manor, the Eagle, and more — stay open alongside it, so the energy spills from the street into every doorway. The Main Stage also hosts the costume contests: the children's and family contest at 6:30 PM, then the adult contests (Theme, Group, and Sexiest) at 8:30 PM.
Because it benefits The Pride Center at Equality Park, entry is ticketed, and you'll want to grab tickets in advance rather than at the gate. It's a cashless event — no cash at the entry points or the street bars — so bring a card or phone. Come early if you want room to actually see the stage; by mid-evening the Drive is shoulder-to-shoulder.
You can't really separate Wicked Manors from the town it takes over. Wilton Manors is nicknamed the Island City — it's literally wrapped by the north and south forks of the Middle River — and since incorporating in 1947 it has grown into one of the most concentrated LGBTQ+ communities anywhere in the country. The 2010 U.S. Census ranked it second only to Provincetown, Massachusetts, for its share of same-sex couples, at roughly 140 same-sex couples per 1,000 households, and the city has elected openly LGBTQ+ leaders to run it. This is a place that flies the flag year-round and treats gay life as the civic default rather than a niche.
Wilton Drive is the spine of all of it — a walkable half-mile of gay bars, restaurants, coffee shops, galleries, and gay-owned businesses that works as the whole town’s living room. That’s why Halloween here doesn’t feel like a promoter’s party bolted onto a random street; it feels like an entire city throwing open its front door. When the Drive closes to traffic on October 31, you’re celebrating down the main street of one of America’s true gay hometowns — and everyone from the bar owners to the city commission is in on it. The same half-mile hosts the giant Stonewall Pride parade and festival every June and a year-round nightlife scene; Wicked Manors is simply its wildest, most costumed night of the year.
Wicked Manors is the signature annual fundraiser for The Pride Center at Equality Park, the nonprofit LGBTQ+ community center whose work across South Florida spans HIV testing and prevention, youth and senior programs, mental-health and support services, and year-round community events. What began as a neighborhood Halloween gathering has grown into one of the region's biggest Halloween street parties — OutSFL put the 2023 crowd at around 30,000.
Because it's a fundraiser, entry is ticketed — general admission is about $18 this year, with Premium (drink tickets) and VIP (indoor open-bar lounge) tiers — and the proceeds go back into the Pride Center's programs, so dressing up here is genuinely a way to give back. Each edition gets its own theme (2026's is "Masquerade of Mayhem"; 2025's was Eden After Dark), and as the crowds have grown, the organizers and Wilton Manors police have scaled up security and street management to match — expect bag checks and a visible police presence at the entry points, so give yourself extra time to get in.

When the street festival wraps at 11, the party moves indoors. Two late parties are already announced: Ramrod Halloween at the Levi/leather bar (10 PM–3 AM, costume contest at midnight) and Sinister at the Eagle (9 PM–3 AM, free before 10). The Drive's two big clubs are the other usual stops:

Uber and Lyft are the easiest way in and out. Wilton Drive itself is closed, so your driver will drop you a block or two off the route — expect surge pricing and a short walk. Set a meeting spot with your group before you lose signal in the crowd.
Street and lot parking around Wilton Manors fills up fast and much of the area near the Drive is barricaded. If you drive, arrive early and be ready to park several blocks away, or use a rideshare instead.
Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International (FLL) is about 15–20 minutes from Wilton Manors. Miami International (MIA) is roughly 45 minutes. Both have easy rideshare and rental options.

Wilton Manors is tiny and walkable — once you're on the Drive, everything is on foot. The only real transportation you'll need is the ride in and the ride home.
