Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Women-owned wine bar celebrating minority-owned vintners in Oakland Park.
Rebel is a women-owned wine bar in Oakland Park's creative arts district, about half a mile from the Wilton Manors line. Owner Larissa Castelluber opened the 27-seat space in 2021 with a focus on wines from women- and minority-owned vineyards — roughly 70 selections by the glass, rotated weekly, plus champagne, sangria, and craft beer. Food is charcuterie boards, toasted paninis, and tapas. The bar positions itself as a venue for "women, culture, and the LGBTQ community" and has hosted Out & Proud wine nights alongside regular paint-and-sip evenings, poetry nights, open mic, and tarot readings. Happy hour runs daily 4 to 7 PM with 50 percent off wines by the glass. Weekend tastings cover upcoming and limited releases Saturday and Sunday, 2 to 5 PM.
