San Diego, California
Three-level Old Town nightclub spinning underground electronic music.
Operating since 2007 in a space that once housed the legendary gay club Montage, Spin Nightclub is San Diego's primary after-hours dance destination. Under new ownership as of August 2024, the 10,000-square-foot industrial venue spans three levels, including a main dance floor, mezzanine, and rooftop deck. The club's programming focuses heavily on underground electronic music—techno, house, and drum and bass—rather than Top 40. While no longer a dedicated gay bar, it maintains strong ties to the LGBTQ+ community and serves as the main late-night spillover point for Hillcrest crowds after the neighborhood bars close at 2 AM.
