HOW BOWLING IS ORGANISED

Gay bowling leagues sit under the International Gay Bowling Organization (IGBO), which says it has been organising LGBTQ+ bowling for over 45 years and reaches more than 9,000 members and over 100 leagues across the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and parts of Europe.

IGBO’s Annual Tournament and Conference moves city each year. The 2027 Annual is scheduled for Kansas City on May 19–23, 2027, per the IGBO site. Local IGBO leagues bowl one night a week at a partner alley; multi-sport organisations also run shorter social bowling seasons. Nights, alleys and fees are in the table where the league publishes them.
