HOW RUGBY IS ORGANISED

Nine of the 10 clubs in the table are listed on the club finder of International Gay Rugby (IGR), a charity registered in England that also runs the Bingham Cup.

The Bingham Cup is IGR’s biennial world championship, first held in 2002 and named for Mark Bingham, the San Francisco Fog player killed on United Flight 93. Per IGR, the 2026 edition was hosted by Brisbane in August 2026 and won by the Kings Cross Steelers; Leeds Hunters will host the 2028 tournament. IGR also runs the NorAm Cup for North American clubs.

Unlike the league sports on this site, rugby clubs train through long fall and spring seasons, often with summer 7s, and play fixtures against both IGR and mainstream clubs under their national union. Dues and training nights are on each club’s site and in the table where published.
