Seasons and fees are copied from each league’s own site on the date in the methodology note and change year to year. Confirm on the league’s registration page before you pay.

METHODOLOGY

How to read this.

Each league verified on its own website or registration page (LeagueApps / TeamSnap / PlayPass / SportsEngine) on the verified_at date; seasons, fees, founding year and registration links copied as published, null where not published.

What this is not
  • — Not a census of every LGBTQ+ league in a city — leagues we could not verify on their own site are held back, not counted.
  • — Not live — fees and seasons are copied on the verified_at date; confirm on the league's registration page.
  • — Not a ranking — no league is called best, largest or oldest by us.
  • — Cities shown are the ten launch cities, not the ten biggest sports cities.

A hand-verified snapshot of LGBTQ+ recreational sports leagues in ten US cities, one row per league per city, with the season, fee and registration facts each league publishes on its own site.

Leagues were seeded from public directories and then checked one by one on their own websites or registration pages. A league whose site is dead, silent for a year or more, or reachable only through a private social group is held in the file as unverified and is neither counted nor shown. Snapshot v0.1, October 2026.

Run a league we missed?

Email info@outxout.com with the league’s site and registration page and we’ll verify and add it in the next refresh.

Press-ready lines
  • Out x Out documents 90 LGBTQ+ sports leagues playing 12 sports across 10 US cities, each verified on the league's own site as of October 2026.

  • 41 of the 90 leagues publish a season fee and 90 publish their season calendar; Out x Out copies both from the league's own registration page rather than estimating them.

  • 14 of the 90 documented leagues are multi-sport organisations offering three or more sports in one city; 21 of the rest name a national body such as International Gay Rugby, IGBO, NGFFL or International Pride Softball on their own sites.
