HOW FLAG FOOTBALL IS ORGANISED

Gay flag football is organised nationally by the National Gay Flag Football League (NGFFL), which says it has brought LGBTQ+ athletes and allies together since 2002 and lists member leagues in 30 cities and regions across the US and Canada.

NGFFL’s national championship is the Gay Bowl. Gay Bowl XXVI was played in the Twin Cities, Minnesota, on October 8–11, 2026, per the NGFFL site; the 2027 host had not been posted when we checked. NGFFL also lists the Sin City Classic among its competitions: the organiser’s site puts the 2027 edition in Las Vegas on January 14–18, 2027.

Seasons, divisions and fees are set by each local league and are in the table as the league publishes them.
